WHAT DATE IS THE ALINTA ENERGY CHRISTMAS PAGEANT?
Saturday 2 December 2023

WHAT TIME DOES THE ALINTA ENERGY CHRISTMAS PAGEANT START AND FINISH?
The pageant starts at 7.30pm and will finish after the last float reaches the finish area at approximately 9.30pm.

WHERE SHOULD I SIT TO WATCH IT?
Prime viewing is anywhere East of the start line, St Georges Terrace and William Street, all the way to the corner of St Georges and Victoria Avenue. There is NO public viewing of the pageant WEST of the start line.

When finding a location please listen to directions from SES Volunteers, Security Staff and Event Staff. Your safety and the safety of others is very important to all involved with the event.
To ensure everyone's safety, please do not sit on the kerb or edge of the road when roads are open.
We recommend children sit at the front (behind the blue line) and adults stand behind, ensuring everyone has the best view of the pageant.

Every year, the pageant draws very large crowds. Please consider this when planning your arrival time and viewing location. The start line at William Street is a very popular location, however not always the best spot to view the pageant. We suggest you move east down the pageant route to secure the best possible viewing location.

WHERE IS THE ACCESSIBLE VIEWING AREA?
The accessible viewing area is located on St Georges Terrace (Northern side), between Victoria Ave and Irwin Street and is within in close proximity of the accessible toilets located on Irwin Street.
The space is barricaded off and controlled by security to allow all wheelchair users entry, along with one carer/loved one.

The space is not elevated, however it backs directly onto St. Georges Terrace, so other spectators do not have the opportunity to stand in front of the area and block the view of those in the accessible viewing area.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
We suggest you bring a blanket or cushion to sit on - please do not bring chairs.
The Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant is an alcohol-free event.
Pets are not permitted at the event with the exception of assistant animals.

WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY RUBBISH?
Keep Perth beautiful.
Scouts volunteers will be there on the night handing out Keep Australia Beautiful rubbish bags for your convenience. Please use these bags for all your rubbish and then deposit them in one of the bins located along the pageant route.  You can also help keep our city clean by taking your rubbish with you.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Yes, Transperth public bus and train schedules will be operating but due to the road closures some of the bus routes will be impacted. We encourage you to plan your journey using the Transperth App or Journey Planner on the Transperth website.
Please note there is limited access across St Georges Terrace due to the pageant route.

WHAT IF I FEEL UNWELL?
Please do not attend the Pageant if you:
•    Have tested positive for COVID-19 or are waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test
•    You have been required to self-isolate or quarantine
•    You are experiencing flu-like symptoms

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD IS SEPARATED FROM ME?
Constable Care will have four “Family Meeting Points and Lost Child Safety Stops” at prominent locations along the pageant route. If your child is separated from you, please head here first.
We encourage all parents/carers to take a photograph of their little ones before leaving home. On arrival at the Christmas Pageant visit Constable Care to collect a ‘Constable Care Wristband’ and record your contact details on it before attaching it to your child.
